CNC Mill Setup AND CNC Lathe Setup

This position is open for the either day or night shift CNC setup.

The primary function of the CNC Setup/Operator position is the setup and operation of CNC machines according to the production schedule in order to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities:                          

• Properly install and remove tooling
• Install and remove work holding, as needed
• Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speeds, feed, coolant flow, and depth of cut
• Audit first piece samples 
• Make program adjustments or offsets to ensure processes are complete and quality of parts are met, and replace inserts or other tools as needed
• Perform daily routine maintenance of CNC machine
• Adhere to company quality policies and procedures in accordance with our ISO 9001 documented plan

Qualifications:

• H.S. diploma required
• 5 years of CNC mill or lathe experience, including setup experience
• Proficiency in the use of measuring tools; micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, optical comparator, thread gauges, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, understand GD & T
• Basic math skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Detail oriented
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, team player, and positive attitude
